Established in 2020, DragonFlyPads ambition is to create a Grid of Agnostic Remotely Operated Ground Infrastructures,  servicing the needs of Commercial UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems / drones)

Why is there a need for UAS infrastructures?

With the advent of BVLOS, the demand for ground infrastructures becomes imminent and essential. Our Vertipads will serve as a vital bridge, seamlessly connecting aerial and terrestrial infrastructures. Our mission is to provide a cohesive link that not only enhances connectivity but also boosts overall functionality and efficiency for commercial drones.

Where are we going and Who supports us?

DragonFlyPads has successfully conceived and tested the first-generation Vertipads. We are steadfast in our commitment to advancing R&D for the second generation, focusing on hardware and software design, construction, and operation of infrastructures tailored to meet the rapidly evolving logistics and cargo demands of drones. Our efforts are supported by private funding along with backing from both the French and US Governments.

    DragonFlyPads boasts an impressive expertise in navigating challenging urban environments, exemplified by our successful operations in the Rungis International Fruit and Vegetable market. This bustling hub, the world's largest fresh market, presented a complex landscape near Paris city center and Orly International Airport. Amid harsh weather conditions, our team executed over 370 qualified flights for both surveillance and logistics, addressing the market's demands, which included over 30,000 daily truck arrivals and a workforce of 12,000. 

    Today, DragonFlyPads France continues its innovative drone initiatives as a key player at the Systematic Drone Innovation Hub in Brétigny sur Orge, just outside Paris.





     


    DragonFlyPads are working to establish a network of mini "service stations/ mini airports" for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) enhances drone operations by extending their reach and flight time. This approach improves ROI for the drone manufacturers and operators, ensuring more efficient services, reduced downtime, and economic benefits. Additionally, incorporating eco-friendly features aligns with sustainability goals in the growing UAS industry.
